M42 "The Great Orion Nebula" is located 1500 Ly away in Orion. It is over 150 Ly across. This is a combinations of 6 different images made from 4-1 minute exposures each. It was taken December 24, 2008 Using a Meade DSI II Color CCD camera
IC434 "The Horsehead Nebula" is a Dark Nebula located 1500 Ly away in Orion. This is made from stacking 21 - 90 second exposures.
